NEMOTOUR is a cooperation between the Burgenland municipalities of Illmitz, Jois, Purbach and the City of Modra in Slovakia and is funded by the EU’s Regional Development Fund. Together, these places develop tourism offers revolving around the topics of culture, nature, wine and culinary enjoyment.

Jois
the holiday destination with heart and soul in the Lake Neusiedl-Leitha Mountains region
The picturesque wine growing town of Jois am Neusiedler See is located at the gentle foothills of the Leitha Mountains in the Welterbe Nature Park. It’s a great destination for adults and kids alike for Jois is known for its warmth and hospitality. In the middle of unspoiled nature, you can enjoy bicycle tours to the cherry blossom region, romantic walks, bathing, sailing, surfing and kite surfing.
Purbach
am Neusiedler See, an El Dorado of great flavours!
The romantic wine growing village in the countryside is a guarantee for great variety – and an equally varied offer: Situated on the western shore of the lake, on the sunny slopes of the Leitha Mountains, you can enjoy wonderfully relaxed holidays, culinary highlights in the numerous restaurants and wine taverns and select wines in the middle of an idyllic world heritage cultural landscape.
And that’s not all: This romantic place impresses with centuries-old history. From its stony landmark, the “Purbach Turk” (1532) to its defense wall including 3 “Turk Gates” (1630-1634) to the picturesque town centre with its historic cellar alley.

The wine growing town of Modra is located in the centre of the Little Carpathians, only 30 km from the capital Bratislava. In addition to wine, it is known for its rich history, ceramics, excellent gastronomy, cherished architecture, beautiful nature and, last but not least, its cultural events throughout the year.
